Preparation to start your tasking
This document describes what kind of steps you need before you start the tasking.
Overview
- (API user) Understand how the AxelGlobe operates satellites to capture AOIs.
- (API user) Define your requirements for the AxelGlobe Tasking resources.
- (AxelGlobe) Check the feasibility for the requirements and share its result and estimated price with the API user.
How the AxelGlobe operates satellites to capture AOIs
First of all, the AxelGlobe's capture resources are limited. We allocate them to several companies and their projects based on their requirements. The requirements for each use case vary. Some projects may require as many satellite images as possible (use case: Contract), while other use cases require that satellites capture only when capture resources are available (use case: Wishlist).
To accomplish these use cases, we are committed to the following things.
- Task prioritization
- Estimation of the capture capacity based on actual capturing results
- Checking conflicts between AOIs
Hence, we would like to know your information for us to do these confirmations.
Define your requirements for the AxelGlobe Tasking resources
For AxelGlobe team to plan its tasking resources for your use case, we would like to know the following information.
- AOIs (country/state/city) you plan to capture
- If you have some files to represent your AOIs (GeoJSON/Shapefile/KML etc), we would be happy to have them.
- How many captures per each priority you need in a month
- {{ n }} captures for the priority:Contract
- {{ n }} captures for the priority:Wishlist
- How many hours for the delivery latency you expect
- Within {{ n }} hours since a satellite captures
- How much area you expect to capture in one shot
- At most {{ height }} x {{ width }} sqkm in one shot
Once you can define your requirements for the tasking, please send it to the AxelGlobe team.
Check the feasibility for the requirements
When the AxelGlobe team gets your requirements, we will check whether it might be feasible or not considering the current satellite resources. We will contact you as soon as it is complete.
